Knoxville,TN is the largest city in East Tennessee and ranks the third largest in the state. It was founded in 1791 and is located in the Tennessee Valley, with more than 392,995 residents in the county. The city features a below average cost of living, yet is rich in culture and Southern hospitality. The primary newspaper is the Knoxville
News-Sentinel, and McGhee-Tyson Airport the main airport for the region. Knoxville is also the home of the University of Tennessee.
